Splintered Love (2021)
Splintered Love explores the gap between outward affection and emotional disconnection within relationships. The series features two subjects, using contrast to show how intimacy can appear intense on the surface while remaining fractured beneath.
The imagery focuses on tension rather than closeness. Although the relationship is presented as passionate and expressive, it is undercut by a sense of distance and imbalance. Red lighting is used throughout to suggest emotion, power, and discomfort, reinforcing the underlying strain within the connection.
Through controlled composition and restrained interaction, Splintered Love reveals the divide between appearance and reality. The result is a visual study of relationships that look whole from the outside, yet remain unresolved at their core.
